Dr. Jenna Ognisty is a Long Island native who started her veterinary career at South Shore Animal Hospital in 2016, shadowing Dr. Mansfield. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2019. She stayed at Cornell, graduating from their College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. While there, she served as a member of various organizations, but her greatest passion was running Cornell’s Pet Loss Support Hotline. After graduation, she practiced in Brookline, Massachusetts before making her anticipated return home to Long Island. Her clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, patient safety, and senior pet care. She has a USDA Class II Accreditation, sending pets all over the world. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys horseback riding, crocheting, surfing, baking, and hiking with her husband and their Cockapoos.
